The staff of Kovel/Fuller had barely finished unpacking at their new offices a couple of weeks ago when some surprise remodeling got under way.
A pickup truck careened into a front window of their new Culver City, Calif., building, sending shards of glass into the production department. Luckily no one was injured, but there was a lot of cleaning up to do.
Agency president John Fuller said he was relieved no one was hurt, and added there was no structural damage to the converted warehouse.
"Some agencies pop open champagne when they move into a new place; we have trucks drive through our window," he joked.
The agency moved its 60-person staff into the spacious former party supplies warehouse on Jefferson Blvd. last month. Despite the truck episode, the agency isn't writing off motorized transport entirely: Staffers are using a new fleet of scooters to get around the 40,000-square-foot facility,
