Internet-based sports apparel and equipment retailer Fogdog Sports is conducting a review for its estimated $3-5 million ad account. A decision is expected this month, said sources.
A representative of San Jose, Calif.-based Fogdog confirmed the company is working with a set list of undisclosed finalists but declined to comment further.
Sources said the client is looking exclusively in the Bay Area, and has been hearing presentations since mid-January.
Fogdog is seeking a shop to promote its online store (www.fogdog.com) with online and traditional ads, possibly including broadcast TV in select national markets, said sources.
The company, launched a year ago as Sportsite.com, changed its name in November. --Jane Irene Kelly
