What’s the first information you consume in the morning?
The Yahoo main page, RealEstalker and Bravotv.com.
What do you read or watch or listen to at the breakfast table?
You don’t look this good by eating. In the mornings, I do listen to Zoila my housekeeper ramble and try to come up with creative ways to get paid time off. We also listen to music on YouTube. It’s a morning dance party.
What occupies your mind in the car, on the subway, train or bus?
I’m usually handling as many phone calls as possible when I’m in the car. If I’m not talking, then I’m listening to SiriusXM. I love ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, Hits 1, New Wave and Coffee House.
Are you a TV junkie or on an airtime-restricted diet?
I’m definitely a Bravo junkie; we’re sort of a cult. Outside of watching Real Housewives, I’m catching up with GCB, Dancing With the Stars, American Horror Story or Once Upon a Time. That said, I usually only watch TV between 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. I watch shows on my iPad on occasion, but mostly on TV.
Before bed, do you bite into a novel, graze on Twitter or fast until morning?
It’s usually TV and then bed. I finish the day with Watch What Happens Live.
Which is more nutritious: print or Web?
Time is so limited in one day that the Web allows me to get information I need incredibly quickly from many outlets. It’s great for my ADD.
Give us the skinny on your favorite app.
More and more of my clients are using Houzz. When we start projects, I want them to pull together magazine tears so I get an idea of their aesthetic. With Houzz, they’re able to pull it together quicker and just forward me a link.
What’s your biggest digital indulgence?
Tumblr design blogs. I’m a very visual person, so scrolling through archives of thousands and thousands of different design projects is stimulating.
With such a bloated media universe, how do you cut out the fat?
With running my design business and shooting the TV shows, I usually just run out of time.
