Like it or not, Easter is largely a holiday about chocolate. The candy enjoys its second-largest sales spike of the year around this time, after Halloween, and Americans eat more than 70 million pounds of chocolate during the Easter season, according to a 2009 Nielsen report. (Pope Benedict XVI himself got a 550-pound, 7-foot-tall chocolate Easter egg [1] from Italian chocolatier Tosca this year. He regifted it to a juvenile detention center rather than risk the stomach ache.) The choices for chocolate lovers are endless—chocolate bunnies, Cadbury Creme Eggs, M&Ms, Reese's peanut butter cups. It's enough to make a Peep feel depressed. After the jump, fill up on the 10 most-viral chocolate commercials of all time, as compiled by Unruly Media. [2] They range from the sublime (Cadbury "Gorilla") to the insane (Kit Kat). But all of them are pretty tasty.
