Univision Radio announced Tuesday (April 27) a multi-year deal with The Miami Dolphins, making WQBA-AM the Dolphins’ Spanish-language flagship in Miami. Under the terms of the partnership, WQBA will be the exclusive Spanish language play-by-play station for Dolphins pre-season and regular games.

The station will also air a two-hour pregame show, a one-hour postgame show and a two-hour weekday program. Univision’s other stations in the market, WAMR-FM, WRTO-FM and WAQI-AM will provide promotional support.

The deal comes a few weeks after the Dolphins inked a six-year broadcast agreement with Clear Channel, which has the English-language radio broadcast rights for WBGG-FM and WINZ-AM.

“We are excited to provide the Miami Dolphins with an opportunity to reach their Spanish-speaking fans through our airwaves,” said Claudia Puig, svp and eastern regional manager for Univision Radio.
