Univision Hires Mackin

NEW YORK Terry Mackin, Hearst-Argyle Television’s evp and digital guru, is jumping to Univision. As president of Univision’s TV Station Group, Mackin will oversee Univision’s and TeleFutura’s 64 owned-and-operated stations, reporting to Ray Rodriguez, president and chief operating officer of Univision.

Mackin succeeds Mike Wortsman, who retired from Univision in 2007. Since then, the Spanish-language media giant had been searching for his replacement.

Univision couldn’t have picked a more forward-thinking executive. Mackin’s track record in pioneering new TV station models through digital media is well documented.
