Spanish-language media conglomerate Univision Communications said today (March 3) it has reached a multi-year retransmission pact with DirecTV.

The agreement covers carriage of Univision’s owned-and-operated TV stations; affiliated stations owned and operated by Entravision Communications, Equity Media Holdings and Fisher Communications; the network feeds for Univision and TeleFutura; and cable network Galavision.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the company had previously signaled that it would seek $1 per subscriber.

“The partnership with DirecTV speaks to the growing influence of the Hispanic consumer in the nation,” said Joe Uva, CEO of Univision.
