Tribune Shakes Up Management Ranks

Tribune continues to remake its management ranks, announcing late Thursday (July 31) a reorganization in its broadcasting division.

The company also named a single executive, Steve Charlier to head news as senior vp of news and operations for the broadcast management company formed late last year by Tribune Broadcasting and Local TV LLC.

Charlier was most recently senior vp, news, product and operations for Local TV LLC, a post he took on in February from vp and news director for KOVR and KMAX, CBS Television’s duopoly in Sacramento.

In his new position, Charlier will be responsible for overseeing all news production and news operations for the station groups of both companies, and the launch on Friday (August 1) of a four-hour morning show at KSWB-TV, Tribune’s Fox affiliate in San Diego.
