TargetCast Names Digital Media Chief

NEW YORK Independent TargetCast has named Jennifer Samples svp, director of digital media, a new position at the shop.

Samples joins TargetCast from interactive agency Infuz in St. Louis, where she had been vp of media innovation and oversaw development of media strategy for clients including Brown Forman, Unilever and Purina.

Previously, Samples was director of digital business development at Response Media, where she managed work on interactive accounts including Procter & Gamble, Casio and Unilever. Her responsibilities included developing media strategy.

She began her career at Cox Media, where she held interactive sales positions for two of its properties, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and The Story News Group. 

"Jennifer brings a wealth of experience in the digital arena, with a thorough working knowledge of both the marketing and the media sides of the street," said Steve Farella, co-founder, president and CEO of TargetCast.

The shop, formed five years ago, now has estimated annual billings of $450 million. Clients include TIAA-CREF, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, Gorton's, Hotels.com and Sun-Maid.
