Talk programming guru Phil Boyce is exiting WABC-AM in New York after a 14-year run, the station announced Thursday (Oct. 9). Boyce's last day is today.

There is no argument that WABC and its programming are synonymous with Phil Boyce, who was instrumental in developing and nurturing many of the nation's most popular personalities including Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin.

"Phil's abilities as a programmer are well known but it's his kindness and leadership that we'll miss most," said Mitch Dolan, president, major market radio station group for Citadel Broadcasting.

No word on Boyce's next move. "I believe I have some great opportunities in front of me," Boyce said. "I only hope they will be as fun and challenging as all of my years programming WABC have been."
