Green-focused ad network SustainLane Media has inked a partnership deal with radio conglomerate Citadel Media to launch SustainAmerica, a new Web resource for those looking to adopt more a green-friendly lifestyle.
The new channel, located at Sustainlane.com/sustainamerica, will feature blogs and editorial content produced by SustainLane staffers, as well as both professional and user-generated reviews of green products, businesses and services. In addition, the site will house a series of green-themed public service announcements produced by SustainLane that will also run across Citadel’s network of 4,400 affiliate radio stations.
While the new channel will leverage SustainLane Media’s editorial expertise and proprietary Web publishing technology, Citadel will handle all marketing and advertising sales for the venture. The broadcaster plans to use Citadel stations’ on-air talent to drive listeners to the new site. Plus, Citadel will offer potential advertisers, looking to associate their brands with the green movement, packages with both radio and Web ads included.
Also as part of the deal, Citadel Media will sell ad inventory from the SustainLane Media’s 150-plus partner Green Ad Network, which the company claims reaches over 30 million unique monthly users.
