Signals of Hope for Spot TV

NEW YORK TV has been hammered for so long by the economy and a sinking auto category, prospects can only improve in 2010.

Coming off double-digit declines in 2009, total spot TV revenue is expected to increase between 3.6 percent and 6.1 percent, according to the Television Bureau of Advertising’s forecast released today.

Local spot will continue to be the weakest segment, inching up between 1 and 3 percent next year. National spot is expected to jump 6-12 percent.
