‘Tis the season for award show nominations.
The Screen Actors Guild has unveiled its list of nominees for the upcoming 17th annual awards festivities, which airs live on TBS and TNT on Saturday, Jan. 30. Mirroring the recently announced Golden Globe Award nominations, programming on cable dominates overall, with 26 of the 45 shows or individuals singled out on cable. Only three of the nine categories—Comedy Series Cast, Actor in a Comedy Series and Actress in a Comedy Series—have more broadcast network occupants.
