Radio One, which owns or operates over 50 radio stations in urban markets throughout the U.S. has inked a deal to assume advertising sales for the nine-year old hip hop-focused news Web site AllHipHop.com.

The company will pair AllHipHop.com with its own collection of Web properties--Interactive One--as part of a new five year deal. According to officials, the pairing will result in an audience of 4 million unique users (the majority of whom are African-American) and over 500 million monthly page views.

Just a few weeks ago, Radio One purchased Community Connect, the social networking/community collection of sites which includes the long popular BlackPlanet.com.

"We firmly believe that the future for the African-American consumer and those dedicated to communicating with them is in new media, and as such, this relationship extends our commitment to being the online leader in the African-American space," said Alfred Liggins III, CEO of Radio One, Inc.
