Radio Disney is bringing back the serialized radio drama, a format all but forgotten in the U.S. Beginning July 5, Radio Disney will debut My Dream, a story about Kayla, a teen who juggles a life of music with school and home life.

New episodes will air multiple times during the weekday. Daphne Blunt of The Young and the Restless and Big Time Rush stars as Kayla.

“This original series is a contemporary spin on an old-time radio staple and begins an exciting new initiative that’s designed to spark the listener’s imagination with relatable characters and short stories,” said Ray De La Garza, vp of programming for Radio Disney, the 24-hour network targeting kids, ‘tweens and families.
