Third overall was ABC, followed by Fox and The CW. Forty-six percent of last night’s line-up was in repeats. CBS opened the evening with a repeat of Emmy-nominated The Big Bang Theory (#1: 4.7 rating/9 share at 8 p.m.), which also garnered a nomination for Johnny Galecki, followed by an encore telecast of Saturday-bound Rules of Engagement at a third-place 3.7/ 7 at 8:30 p.m. Once Rules moves into the Saturday 8 p.m. half hour this fall, it is only to burn off the additional episodes Sony Pictures Television is producing for off-network syndication. Next was the first live eviction episode of Big Brother (#1: 4.5/ 8 at 9 p.m.—so long, Keith), followed by a repeat of The Mentalist at a first-place 4.1/ 7 in the overnights at 10 p.m. Comparably, Big Brother was right on par with one year earlier and is expected to lead the evening among adults 18-49. Opposite Big Brother, recently introduced Expedition Impossible on ABC dipped to a series-low 3.0/ 5 at 9 p.m., which was 23 percent below lead-in Wipeout (#3: 3.9/ 7 at 8 p.m.). Canadian drama Rookie Blue, which will be back on ABC next summer, finished second at 10 p.m. with a 3.6/ 7. Comparably, that built by 24 percent from the 9:30 p.m. portion of Expedition Impossible (#2: 2.9/ 5). Over at Fox, the live So You Think You Can Dance Results Show finished second at 8 p.m., with a 4.2/ 8 in the overnights. Compared to the year-ago evening (4.4/ 8 on July 15, 2010), that was a decrease of 5 percent. Next on Fox was a repeat of Glee, which anchors Tuesday again next season, at a third-place 2.2/ 4. Elsewhere, repeats of NBC sitcoms Community (#4: 1.6/ 3), which was snubbed by the Emmys; Parks and Recreation (#4: 1.4/ 3); The Office (#4: 1.8/ 3); and 30 Rock (#4: 1.7/ 3) led into another burn-off episode of clinker Love Bites (#3: 1.5/ 3 at 10 p.m.). The CW, which has no original programming this summer, aired encore telecasts of The Vampire Diaries (#5: 0.8/ 2) and Nikita (#5: 0.9/ 1). Source: Nielsen Media Research data (R = repeat) _______________________________________________________________ RATINGS BOX: What’s Hot/What’s Not Cable Scorecard – Wednesday, July 13: There were two series premieres on this evening: docudrama Roseanne’s Nuts on Lifetime, featuring the former sitcom star, and One Man Army on Discovery. Roseanne’s Nuts was sampled with 1.64 million viewers (No. 7 out of 33 entries) and a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49 (tied for No. 5) at 9 p.m. One Man Army launched with 752,000 viewers (#20) and a 0.3 in the demo (tied for No. 21). USA scripted dramas Royal Pains and Necessary Roughness continue to dominate, but Necessary Roughness dipped by a noticeable 930,000 viewers (and 15 percent among adults 18-49). Over at TV Land, full adult 18-49 retention for new Fran Drescher sitcom Happily Divorced out of Hot in Cleveland means a renewal is in the cards.
