Nielsen Reorgs STB Efforts; Exec Bhatia Out

Taking a more practical approach to the development of set-top-box data for TV ratings, Nielsen announced Wednesday (July 7) a reorganization of its efforts. The new organization eliminates Nielsen’s advanced digital services, the unit formerly charged with the development of STB data, and integrates it into the company’s current audience measurement services.

Out in the organization is Manish Bhatia, the former Nielsen NetRatings exec who served as president of Nielsen’s advanced digital services since 2009.
