NEW YORK Nielsen today said Sabrina Crow has been appointed svp, managing director of local television client services, which includes the local Nielsen TV ratings, effective May 26. She succeeds Kevin Svenningsen, who has taken on a new position at Nielsen as svp, Nielsen Tracking Services.

Most recently, Crow was an svp within Nielsen Business Media, where she has led print, online and trade shows for a portfolio of over 20 brands including Adweek, Brandweek and Mediaweek. She also heads strategy, M&A and corporate digital sales. Before joining Nielsen in 2007, Crow held a variety of senior positions in the media and publishing industries at companies including Reed Elsevier, Freedom Communications, The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald.

Crow will now report to Sara Erichson, president of media client services North America at Nielsen.

Commenting on her new post, Crow said: “I'm delighted to lead Nielsen's client services team for local television clients. I look forward to partnering with our customers during a transformational time in the television business. It’s a bit of a homecoming for me, having spent the formative part of my career in local markets. This is one of the most interesting areas of the television industry.”

The company said it would be announcing a successor to Crow at the Business Media division in the coming weeks.
