Nielsen: DTV Unreadiness Barely Decreases

The number of U.S. households that are completely unready for the Feb. 17, 2009 transition to digital TV barely decreased between October and November.

According to the latest data from Nielsen, the penetration of completely unready households dropped just three-tenths of a percentage point from 7.7 percent to 7.4 percent. Partially unready households also improved only slightly, from 10.7 percent to 10.3 percent.

Hispanic households continue to be the least prepared. The percentage of completely unready households remained at 12.4
