NEW YORK The NewsMarket, a video and archive distribution platform that creates broadcast-quality video for journalists, has aligned with Akamai Technologies to deliver high-speed content during the Beijing Summer Olympics this August.

The deal will provide advertisers with another avenue to get a return on their investment — particularly those sponsors who are spending millions of dollars during the games but may not be reaping as high a reward due to NBC’s stranglehold on broadcast coverage.
