Turner Entertainment’s top sales and marketing exec, Linda Yaccarino, is reportedly taking over as NBCU’s new head of cable advertising from current ad chief Dave Cassaro, the New York Post reported.
Turner announced yesterday through an internal memo that Yaccarino would be leaving to pursue “new professional opportunities” after her contract as the company’s executive vp for sales expires at the end of this year. Yaccarino joined Turner Broadcasting in 1993 and has been in charge of ad sales for TNT, TBS, and TruTV.
Cassaro’s own departure was also announced yesterday. Cassaro, who oversaw ad sales at Comcast networks including E! and Style, was tapped to head all of NBCU's cable ad sales last year following the company's acquisition by Comcast.
