Relatively few actors have the luck—and/or talent—to make their mark on the TV landscape with two career-defining roles. Edie Falco is one of those actors.
A three-time Emmy-winning actress for her portrayal of mob wife (and mom) Carmela Soprano on HBO's now-classic series The Sopranos, Falco returned to the small screen last season as an overworked, overdrugged and oversexed hospital nurse on Showtime's half-hour dramedy Nurse Jackie.
Following a strong debut, Showtime quickly picked up the series for a second season, which premieres March 22.
Mediaweek correspondent Alan Frutkin sat down with Falco at the TV Critics Association's 2010 winter press tour to talk about how the show—and her character—are evolving.
