Relatively few actors have the luck—and/or talent—to make their mark on the TV landscape with two career-defining roles. Edie Falco is one of those actors.
A three-time Emmy-winning actress for her portrayal of mob wife (and mom) Carmela Soprano on HBO’s now-classic series The Sopranos, Falco returned to the small screen last season as an overworked, overdrugged and oversexed hospital nurse on Showtime’s half-hour dramedy Nurse Jackie.
Following a strong debut, Showtime quickly picked up the series for a second season, which premieres March 22.
