As ABC did with Lost, NBC is hoping its big, sprawling, serialized new series The Event draws a rabidly loyal audience that comes back week after week.

Part conspiracy drama, part family saga, and part sci-fi mystery, the series stars Jason Ritter, Blair Underwood, Laura Innes and Zeljko Ivanek.
