Marriott Adds Netflix to Guest Rooms Just in Time for OITNB Premiere

Meanwhile, hit show takes over Times Square

Just in time for the season premiere of Orange Is the New Black, a half dozen Marriott hotels now have Internet-connected TVs that allow Netflix subscribers to stream their favorite shows from the comfort of their pillow-top beds.

Each character has a prayer-candle photo booth.

Marriott hotel rooms in San Jose; Calif.; Princeton, N.J.; Newport, R.I.; Dallas; Bethesda, Md.; and the Marriott East Side in New York all come equipped with the connected TVs.

"Because consumers are choosing to take their streaming content with them when they travel, Marriott Hotels is making the industry's first rollout of Netflix a priority," said Matthew Carroll, vp, brand management for the chain.

The brand plans to expand Netflix to 100 properties by the end of 2015.
