Continuing to expand its local mobile network, Local Solutions Network announced Thursday (March 12) a partnership with Boost Mobile, the prepaid division of Sprint Nextel.
The partnership will allow LSN's mobile network of 140 local media outlets (including stations owned by ABC, NBCU, McGraw Hill, Cox Broadcasting, Gray and others) to deliver local news, weather and sports to Web-enabled Boost Mobile phones.
Customers on the $50 Boost Mobile monthly unlimited plan can access LSN's Local Wireless at no additional charge. Pay As You Go customers can access the service for 35 cents a day for unlimited use.
LSN's network is available on 17 carriers. In December, the company did a deal with Yahoo Blueprint, Yahoo's mobile platform.
