Jim Robinson, president of Citadel Media since 2004, has suddenly exited the radio network formerly known as ABC Radio Networks until early this year. He is succeeded by John Rosso, who was named to head the radio network Thursday (Oct. 8).
In his new position, Rosso will oversee the network that includes ABC News Radio and ESPN Audio and syndicates programming such as The Michael Baisden Show, The Mark Levin Show, Imus in the Morning, and Rick Dees Weekly Top 40.
The change in Citadel Media’s top management could signal a new emphasis on digital media, given Rosso’s most recent position as senior vp of Citadel Interactive.
“We are very pleased to have someone of John’s caliber leading Citadel Media’s efforts as we enter into this exciting and challenging time for the network business,” said Farid Suleman, chairman and CEO of Citadel Broadcasting.
In addition to leading Citadel’s digital initiatives, Rosso has also held management positions in affiliate relations and operations.
