The Joe Scarborough Show is taking a brief hiatus while its hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, figure out how to relaunch the show and expand it from two to three hours.

The hiatus began Monday (April 26). Citadel Media, which syndicates the program, had no timetable for the relaunch.

Since the program was launched in Dec. 2008, affiliations have been scarce. Only 22 radio stations clear the program, including owned Citadel stations such as WABC-AM in New York, KABC-AM in Los Angeles and WMAL-AM in Washington, D.C.

“We look forward to the debut of the new show and know our listeners will appreciate the focus and direction we’ll be taking,” Scarborough said.
