Incremental revenue from retransmission agreements is fast becoming a staple for TV stations. TV group owner Gray Communications said Monday (Dec. 29) it expected total revenue from retransmission agreements to total $3 million this year.
The Atlanta-based company, which operates 36 TV stations in 30 markets, also reported that it had reached retransmission consent agreements with substantially all of its large cable operators, for a total of 27 deals in principle involving 3.3 million in-market cable subscribers.
