WJBK, Fox Television's owned-and-operated station in Detroit is extending its morning news program by an hour. Beginning Sept. 14, the market's only all-local morning news program will air 4:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

"The expansion of Fox 2 News Morning is a natural evolution for our station, as we continue to grow our already strong presence in the market," said Jeff Murri, vp and general manager of WJBK.

In the May sweep, Fox 2 News Morning was No. 1 in households and among Adults 18-49 and 25-54 from 4:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
