In the wake of a previously unannounced move involving Tricia Wilber, Walt Disney Co. has elevated Rita Ferro to evp, Disney media sales and marketing.
In her new role, Ferro will lead the integrated sales and marketing team repping the Mouse’s kids-and-family-focused media portfolio, which includes: Disney Channel, Disney XD, the preschool block Playhouse Disney and a host of more than 20 online properties. (In advance of its January 2012 re-launch as a 24/7 standalone network, Playhouse Disney next year will be re-branded Disney Junior.)
