ESPN is expanding the brand's online distribution to the 10 ABC-owned TV stations, the Disney companies announced Tuesday (July 15). Short-form video from ESPN, including game highlights, sports news and programming clips is now available on all 10 TV station Web sites via a multisport embedded ESPN syndicated video player.

Local station Web sites now carrying the ESPN video player are WABC-TV in New York, KABC-TV in Los Angeles, WLS-TV in Chicago, WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, KGO-TV in San Francisco, KTRK-TV in Houston, WTVD-TV in Raleigh-Durham, N.C., KSFN-TV in Fresno, Calif., WJRT-TV in Flinto, Mich. and WTVG-TV in Toledo, Ohio.

"The addition of world-class ESPN video content gives visitors to our local station Web site another compelling reason to log on for the best in multimedia news, weather, entertainment and now sports," said Bill Burton, executive vp of digital media for the ABC Owned Television Stations Group.

Programming available on the embedded player includes original ESPN programming such as SportsCenter Right Now, Mike and Mike in the Morning, Pardon the Interruption and Around the Horn.

One of the most popular online brands, ESPN visitors view an average of 121 million videos per month, up 32 percent over last year.
