E!'s 'Kardashians' Spinoff Scores Big Numbers

The premiere of E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians spinoff, Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami, bowed to 2.67 million viewers Sunday night, making it the network’s most-watched series opener in seven years.

The strip notched E!’s biggest delivery for a premiere since The Anna Nicole Show bowed in August 2002. (The Anna Nicole Smith vehicle was ratings dynamite for E!, drawing an unprecedented 7.6 million viewers on August 4, 2002, setting a high-water mark for a cable reality series.)

Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami also improved on E!’s most recent unscripted series launch, edging the June 7 debut of Kendra (2.57 million viewers).

In addition to the overall delivery, Kourtney & Khloé also earned E!’s largest collection of women 18-34, averaging 1.05 million members of the core demo.

A collaboration between Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim-Murray Productions, K&K follows the exploits of the two Kardashian sisters who, in the words of E! personality Joel McHale aren’t “famous for having a big ass and a sex tape.” (McHale, who hosts E!’s The Soup, trots out the line whenever he intros a Kardashians-themed segment on the weekend clip show.)

Leading out at 10:45 p.m., E!’s premiere of the spoof Reality Hell drew 1.3 million viewers, nearly tripling the network’s average prime time delivery.
