The reality boxing show The Contender is moving to Versus this season, following two seasons on ESPN and one on NBC.

Versus is partnering with Mark Burnett Productions and Dreamworks Television to bring the series to the network, and actor and talk show host Tony Danza has been signed on to host.

The series will include 11 one-hour episodes and a two-hour finale, and is expected to premiere on Versus in December 2008. The series will be produced in Singapore in cooperation with Mark Burnett Productions Asia, which is providing production and logistic support.
