Jon Hitchcock was named president and general manager of CBS Television’s Philadelphia duopoly, replacing Michael Colleran who has resigned.

Beginning March 30, Hitchcock will oversee all operations for KYW and WPSG, the company’s owned-and-operated CBS and CW stations.

Since 2002, Hitchcock served as vp and general manager for WTNH-TV and WCTX-TV, LIN Television’s ABC and MyNetworkTV affiliates serving the Hartford-New Haven, Conn. market. Prior to LIN, he held positions with Blair Television in New York.

“Jon is a terrific station executive with many years of direct experience running a duopoly,” said Tom Kane, president of CBS Television Stations.
