Steve Mauldin has been named president and general manager of CBS Television Station's Los Angeles duopoly. He succeeds Patrick McClenahan who is exiting the company to pursue other opportunities.

In his new position, Mauldin will oversee all operations for KCBS-TV, the company's owned-and-operated CBS affiliate and independent KCAL-TV. He reports to Peter Dunn, president of CBS Television Stations.

For the past six years, Mauldin has served as president and general manager of CBS' Dallas-Fort Worth duopoly, KTVT-TV the CBS O&O, and independent KTXA-TV. Under his leadership, KTVT for the first time ever scored a first-place win in late news during the November sweep.

"Steve is one of our most experienced executives running major market duopolies, having done so in both Dallas and Miami to great effect, both in terms of driving sales growth and leading his stations to first place in late news," said Dunn.
