CBS Television Stations announced Wednesday the launch of its Local Ad Network in eight additional owned-and-operated CBS markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Miami, Minneapolis, Sacramento, Pittsburgh and Baltimore.

The network, announced in March, syndicates local news widgets to local blogs and other local Web sites. In exchange for publishing the CBS local news widgets, owners of the local sites receive a portion of the ad revenue. The first markets to launch the local ad network were CBS stations in Dallas, San Francico, Denver and Chicago.
