Since the level of DVR penetration has increased from 30 percent at this same point last year to approximately 36 percent at present, the overall results may be negatively impacted. ---------- -Friday’s Winners:Nothing -Friday’s Losers (excluding repeats):The World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert (ABC), Friday Night Lights (NBC), 20/20 (ABC) ---------- -Ratings Breakdown:It was a low-rated Friday of mixed leadership, with CBS the most-watched network and NBC first among adults 18-49. CBS opened the evening with a repeat of Medium (Viewers: #1, 4.14 million; A18-49: #4, 0.8 rating/3 share at 8 p.m.), followed by Canadian drama Flashpoint (Viewers: #1, 6.72 million; A18-49: #2, 1.2/ 5) and another burn-off episode of Miami Medical (Viewers: #1, 7.04 million; A18-49: #2, 1.4/ 5) from 9-11 p.m. For more on CBS’ summer Friday line-up, see TV Tidbits below. NBC kicked-off this second Friday in June with already renewed Friday Night Lights (Viewers: #2, 3.92 million; A18-49: #1, 1.1/ 4), which will never draw much attention outside of the critics, followed by a two-hour edition of Dateline at 5.97 million viewers and a 1.6/ 6 among adults 18-49 from 9-11p.m. Here is the half-hour breakdown for Dateline: Dateline (NBC) 9:00 p.m. – Viewers: 5.33 million (#2), A18-49: 1.3/ 5 (#1) 9:30 p.m. – Viewers: 6.53 million (#2), A18-49: 1.6/ 6 (#1) 10:00 p.m. – Viewers: 6.09 million (#2), A18-49: 1.7/ 6 (#1) 10:30 p.m. – Viewers: 5.95 million (#2), A18-49: 1.7/ 6 (#1) Elsewhere, and there was not much, The World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert on ABC, which was an edited version of the opening ceremony concert on Univision and ESPN2 on Thursday, was stalled at the gate with just 3.41 million viewers (#3) and a 1.1/ 4 among adults 18-49 from 8-10 p.m. (#3). The half-hour breakdown is as follows: The World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert (ABC)8:00 p.m. – Viewers: 3.78 million (#3), A18-49: 1.1/ 5 (#1t) 8:30 p.m. – Viewers: 3.26 million (#3), A18-49: 1.0/ 4 (#2t) 9:00 p.m. – Viewers: 3.14 million (#3), A18-49: 1.0/ 4 (#3) 9:30 p.m. – Viewers: 3.48 million (#3), A18-49: 1.2/ 4 (#3) Veteran 20/20 closed the night for ABC with a third-place finish in both total viewers (4.39 million) and adults 18-49 (1.1/ 4). Over at Fox was a repeat House (in place of canceled Past Life) at 2.90 million viewers (#4) and a 1.0/ 4 among adults 18-49 (#2t) at 8 p.m. That led into a repeat of The Good Guys, which is not so good in the ratings, at just 1.92 million viewers (#4) and a 0.7/ 3 among adults 18-49 at 9 p.m. (#4). As I have been predicting for weeks, I personally think Fox will pull The Good Guys (which is scheduled out of relocated Human Target on Fridays) off the fall line-up. Stay tuned. Last were repeats of The CW’s Smallville (Viewers: 1.08 million; A18-49: 0.4/ 2) and relocated Supernatural (Viewers: 1.14 million; A18-49: 0.5/ 2). Both Cops and America’s Most Wanted won their time periods, with two episodes of Cops (original and repeat) averaging 3.95 million viewers and a 1.2/ 5 among adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m., and America’s Most Wanted at 4.42 million viewers and a 1.3/ 5 in the demo from 9-10 p.m. Elsewhere, and there was not much, CBS opened the night with another burn-off episode of medical drama Three Rivers (Viewers: #2, 3.13 million; A18-49: #3, 0.5/ 2 at 8 p.m.), followed by repeats of Cold Case (Viewers: #3, 3.65 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.6/ 2) and 48 Hours Mystery (Viewers: #1, 4.92 million; A18-49: #1t, 1.1/ 4) from 9-11 p.m. NBC aired repeats of a one-hour version of America’s Got Talent (Viewers: #2, 3.28 million; #2, 0.7/ 3), Law & Order (Viewers: #2, 3.69 million; A18-49: #2, 0.7/ 3) and Law & Order: SVU (Viewers: #2, 4.23 million; A18-49: #1t, 1.1/ 4). And ABC closed the depressing night with repeats of The Bachelorette (Viewers: #4, 1.77 million; A18-49: #4, 0.5/ 2 from 8-10 p.m.) and Castle (Viewers: #3, 3.20 million; A18-49: #3, 0.7/ 3). Bethenny Getting Married kicked-off with 2.10 million total viewers and 1.35 million adults 18-49 at 10 p.m. ET. -Record CMT Music Awards:The CMT Music Awards on Wednesday, June 9 rose to 3.04 million viewers -- CMT’s most-watched awards show in the history of the cable net. Results among adults 18-49 (1.42) were up by 19 percent year-to-year. Next is a repeat of Medium at 9 p.m. ET, which will anchor Fridays this fall, followed by Canadian drama Flashpoint at 10 p.m. ET. This line-up will remain intact until August 20. -So Long, The Forgotten:ABC will air the final two episodes of canceled drama The Forgotten in a two-hour block on Saturday, July 3 from 9-11 p.m. Leading off the evening will be a repeat of America’s Funniest Home Videos. -Stephen Collins Heads to ABC:Former 7th Heaven Dad Stephen Collins, a Mr. TV favorite, has joined the cast of upcoming ABC drama No Ordinary Family, which centers on a so-called typical American family (Michael Chiklis, Julie Benz, Kay Panabaker and Jimmy Bennett) who discover they have extraordinary abilities after their plane crashes in the Amazon jungle.
