Former CBS programming executive Lisa Leingang has been named senior vp, original programming and development (East Coast) at Comedy Central.
In her new role, Leingang will oversee development and production of all Comedy Central original pilots and series shot in New York. She reports to Lauren Corrao, president, original programming and development.
Prior to joining Comedy Central, Leingang logged four years as vp, prime-time programming and development, CBS Entertainment, where she oversaw development of scripted comedy and drama series.
From 1998-2005, Leingang held a number of production and development positions at NBC Studios/Universal Media Studios.
