I wake up quite early because I never really sleep that much anyways. I actually check things all throughout the night. If I get up in the middle of the night, just to get a glass of water or something, I have to check my emails, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat. I know I'm crazy. [Laughs] But the first piece of information I check in the morning, even before my email, is my Twitter feed. That's where I get my quick fix of headlines. Who are your favorite celebrities on Twitter? Oh my God, Chrissy Teigen, for sure. I wish I had 50 percent of her bravery because she just throws everything out there. I don't even think I could do that in my real life, much less for millions of people. Mindy Kaling is also hysterical. And I love Cher. Sometimes I wonder if she even knows what she's doing [on Twitter], but it's hilarious. Do you have any favorite fashion Instagrammers? I love what Vogue is doing with Instagram. It's always felt very curated to me, and I think that, in a way, Instagram itself has moved toward that. When it first launched, there were a lot of beautiful pictures, but now it's more about curation. And then I follow a lot of bloggers, like Song of Style and Bryanboy. How did you get into Snapchat? I signed up a long time ago so no one else could take my handle, but I only really started using it right before the Oscars because I wanted to Snapchat the red carpet. Now I'm obsessed with it. You still can't get any sense of what the metrics are or how many followers you have, but it's fun. It's noncommittal. Have you used Periscope or Meerkat? Yes! I was on the beta for Periscope. It's fun, but it's also just another thing. [Laughs] If I'm at a photo shoot or sitting front row at a fashion show, there's this moment where I'm like, "Should I take a picture for Instagram? Should I Snapchat it? Or should I livestream it on Periscope?" You can't do everything. What's your favorite app? I'm a big food person, so the one app I actually use all the time, besides Uber, is MenuPages. Kitchensurfing is another app I've been turning all my friends on to. You can choose between three different meals, and a chef will come to your house and cook it for up to six people. It's only $25 person and you can't tip or anything. It's cheaper than going to a restaurant if you live in Manhattan! What TV shows do you watch? Right now, I'm obsessed with How to Get Away With Murder. I'm such a Shonda Rhimes person—like, I still watch Grey's Anatomy, and I even watched that weird show of hers that was literally on for half a summer, Off the Map. Of course I can't get enough of Empire. I just recently got obsessed with Keeping Up With the Kardashians. And I've been watching Darren Star's new show, Younger, on TV Land. It's actually kind of good! [Laughs.] What's on your reading list? Like everyone else, I'm reading The Girl on the Train. I'm a pop culture junkie, so I always end up reading the things that are super popular. How about magazines? Food magazines! Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Food Network Magazine, Rachael Ray. But Bon App is my bible. And, finally, how do you wind down at night? I don't really! Lately, I've been trying to actually read printed books. But most of the time, I'm on the computer. It's how I wake up and it's how I fall asleep.
