Weather Channel Revamps iPhone App

The Weather Channel has revamped its iPhone application, and for the first time, has incorporated iPhone-designed ad placements into the popular free app.

The new version of the Weather application features an ad unit that users can expand by hand using their device’s touch-screen, without having to leave the app environment. The Weather Channel has signed on Johnson & Johnson’s Zyrtec as the app’s first sponsor.

Besides the new ad unit, the new version of Weather’s app features several new content offerings, including animated interactive maps and the ability to view traffic cameras in select regions.
