Turn, Better Advertising Strike Transparency Pact

Turn, a digital advertising technology firm that has built a platform which facilitates real time ad buying, has announced a partnership with Better Advertising, a startup that has developed a system that will enable online advertisers to be more transparent about behavioral targeting.

This week Turn has begun testing several ad campaigns which feature what is know as the “power i” icon, a small graphical placement that many in the online ad industry becomes commonplace. That icon encourages users to become better informed about why they are being targeted with a particular ad, and take control of their future ad targeting if they are so inclined.
