TheStreet.com Intros Premium OptionsProfits

TheStreet.com has introduced a new premium subscription content offering called OptionsProfits, which promises expert, insider information on the options industry.

The new channel combines market analysis from a dozen options-industry insiders with educational information from the Options Industry Council along with a continuous stream of trading strategies. TheStreet officials promise that OptionsProfits will offer over 50 unique trade ideas/recommendations each week.

The channel will also house Options TV, which consists of original video covering the options space, ranging from analysis to coaching tips.

Access to OptionsProfits will run users $999 per year following a 14-day trial. The content channel is one of a dozen plus subscription-based services offered by TheStreet, ranging from sections titled Breakout Stocks, to Market Movers, to Cramer’s Action Alerts—which features exclusive commentary from CNBC personality Jim Cramer.

According to executives at TheStreet, its premium services content accounts for two-thirds of its revenue. Thus, several new content launches are planned for this year, per TheStreet.com CEO Daryl Otte.

 “At a time when many media companies are just now embracing premium content, we are taking advantage of our substantial subscriber base and editorial resources to create and upgrade our premium assets,” he said. “And in doing so, we are providing our subscribers with a far superior user experience.”
