SportsFanLive Preps iPhone App
The upstart sports community Web site SportsFanLive.com has rolled out a new iPhone app designed to help displaced or traveling sports fans find bars where they can watch this year’s NCAA men’s basketball tournament. The competition tips off on Mar. 19.
SportsFanLive was launched last summer by former Yahoo and CBS executive David Katz. The venue blends traditional sports news with aspects of social networking sites like Facebook. Users can establish profiles, track news on various teams and even place bets with other friends using a form of virtual currency.
