Showtime Offers Free Show Samples Via iPhone App
Showtime is letting nonsubscribers sample full length episodes of several of its top series—free of charge—via its new iPhone app.
The new free application, among the first launched by a premium cable network, offers access to select full length episodes of the Showtime hits Weeds, Nurse Jackie, The Tudors and others, as well as the season premiere episodes of the just-begun new seasons of Dexter and Californication.
In addition to full episodes, the new app, which is powered by the mobile video technology firm Transpera, features sneak previews and behind the scenes clips from Showtime’s various series—as well as original interviews with stars.
