Priceline Sponsors Latest MacFarlane Web

Priceline has signed on to sponsor the latest original Web short produced by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane.

The new short, Ted Nugent Is Visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past, is the latest product of a partnership initiated last fall between MacFarlane, Google and Media Rights Capital. Dubbed Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy, a series of animated, Family Guy-esque clips were distributed on a branded YouTube channel as well on a wide variety of site across the Web—often in the form of ad units. The Nugent clip will be syndicated on multiple sites as well through Tremor Media’s online video ad network.

Previous Cavalcade clips, several of which were sponsored by Burger King, have attracted major audiences. For example, the short Super Mario Rescues The Princess has been streamed over 10.6 million times on YouTube alone.

The new Priceline sponsorship consists of an animated pre-roll video spot featuring the voice of company spokesperson William Shatner. Shatner’s cartoon likeness also appears persistently to the upper right of the video player on MacFarlane’s YouTube channel.
