Netflix is starting to become a place where people can watch more of this season’s TV.
The company has inked a pact with Disney that will enable subscribers to stream shows from ABC, Disney Channel and ABC Family. While ABC is only planning to distribute episodes of shows from past seasons, ABC Family will deliver streams of shows during their current season—15 days after they air.
The ABC Family arrangement marks the latest such move by Netflix to offer more current programming. Recently, the company inked a partnership with NBC to stream Saturday Night Live episodes the day after they first run—a deal that some say has rankled executives at Hulu, who want to preserve that site’s status as the place to catch up on this season’s shows.
