Limelight Networks Acquires Kiptronic

Limelight Networks, a company which offers a variety of back-end support services to Web sites like MSNBC.com and iFilm, has acquired Kiptronic, a firm that offers dynamic ad insertion in Web video. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Just a few weeks ago, Kiptronic began delivering ads within videos for NBC.com’s mobile properties. The San Francisco, Calif.-based firm, which launched a podcasting ad product in 2006, currently works with media companies such as NPR, Fox and Condé Nast.
