The bride-targeted Web site TheKnot.com is set to unveil its first live show on Wednesday (June 17) at 12 p.m.
The Knot Live is scheduled to run each Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. The service-oriented show will feature live interviews, such as this week’s appearance by celebrity Marcy Blum, as well as wedding-related news and tips. The show, which is being filmed at The Knot’s offices in New York, is also designed to be interactive—as viewers will be encouraged to call in during episodes.
Crate & Barrel has signed on as The Knot Live’s sponsor for at least the next 12 weeks. The retailer will look to drive the show’s likely bride-centric audience to sign onto its wedding registry.
TheKnot.com has long featured original video content, though this show marks its first attempt at appointment Web viewing. Live shows are becoming more common of late—particularly on news sites such as FoxNews.com and CBSNews, but are still something of a rarity on lifestyle sites.
