Inergize Digital and DoApp Inc. have announced that two months since the launch of Mobile Local News, there are 50 Mobile Local News applications live in the Apple App Store.

Mobile Local News distributes print and broadcast outlets' locally branded news, weather, sports, politics and entertainment to consumer iPhone and iPod touch mobile digital devices. Mobile Local News provides text, images, photos and videos to users while leveraging revenue generating opportunities.

"With Mobile Local News, local media companies can sell category, story and video ads locally for maximum revenue or collect backfill revenue with little to no station effort -- all an industry first for mobile monetization," Inergize Digital Senior Vice President and General Manager Jason Gould said in a statement.

Available to consumers at the Apple App Store at no cost Mobile Local News features a customizable user interface, industry-leading navigation technology, video playback in EDGE, 3G and WiFi networks, geo-location-based weather and advertising, and one-click sharing by text message, e-mail, Twitter and Facebook.
