Seth Meyers' offbeat superhero cartoon The Awesomes has lived up to its name as far as the brass at Hulu are concerned: the show has been renewed for a second season on the I-can't-believe-it's-not-a-traditional-network, marking Hulu's first co-produced scripted original renewal, and certainly one of its quickest.
The platform counts Meyers' series as one of its ten most-watched shows, and it's been okayed to continue with another ten-episode season before its two-part finale even gets a chance to air next Thursday—a vote of confidence cable and broadcast execs like to make publicly, as well.
